Great circular route whether on an organised coach trip or by car. The falls are brilliant, the geysers awesome and the countryside is lovely.

Nothing to dislike. This is a perfect way to see some of the prime sties in southern Iceland when you only have a short time in which to do it. We choose Flybus for this excursion.

We went there with Reykjavik Excursions. The young woman guide was very fluent in English and French and provided information on all sights as well as a bit of history along the way. No problems with the pick-up at our hotel.

Self-drive tour. Geologically very interesting. However marred by the volume of other visitors to Pingvellir, Geysir and Gullfoss. Visited other less well known sites and got the feel of Iceland's natural beauty.

There is so much to see and do. It is hard to explain just how much diversity there is in this region. I would do it with a tour. You can do it on your own but to get up in the high reaches and...More

This is a must do when coming to Iceland. We rented a car from Avis (an awful choice btw) and completed the circle in about 6 hours. Great wonders of nature in a unique environment. Lava, wind, water, rain and you will like it.

We rented a vehicle from Blue Car Rental upon departing our hotel the next morning, adjacent to the airport as well as to the hotel. We DID NOT do the guided tour itself...and glad for that, in fact.

The Golden Circle is basically starting in Reykjavik stopping at Pingvellir, Geysir, and Gullfoss and then looping back. It is a day trip. If you have 7 days, the way better experience is the Ring Road. THAT shows you... More

No, but they help. Some places are slippery and wet. I liked having low hiking boots.
