Went to Starved Rock in early May and had a wonderful time hiking on the trails and then relaxing at the lounge in the lodge. Very nice scenery.

It was during my daughters Spring break we came here. I have little in Illinois all my life and I have never been here. I am shocked. It is gorgeous. there are plenty of trails, maps and markers to guide you so there should be no concerns about getting lost.

This is one of my favorite state locations in the area. It has something for everyone. The staff take excellent care of the facilities. Well worth the drive.

We hiked a few of the trails, and the blooming wildflowers and green of the trees and ground cover was spectacular! We saw waterfalls flowing at Wildcat Canyon and St. Louis Canyon. Locals mentioned that these "waterfalls" are likely to be dry during the summer. There are lots of steps on the trails. We also enjoyed many pieces of artwork... More

The park is so nice with all the waterfalls and trails. Park was very clean. Lots of stairs. Not for strollers or wheelchairs.

We really like the kind of scenery in a park like this - canyons, waterfalls, and rock formations. We enjoyed it.

People were so rude. An event was going on and they wouldn't allow parking. We drove around for 30 minutes to park on the street!

The park itself is very cool. The only real problem is that it is always clogged with Chicago-area people who travel in giant hordes wearing sandals, pushing strollers, and walking dogs. If you can handle navigating around these people it's a great park!
