How much Chinese products can you jam into a French market and call them one of a kind? Great produce, great flowers, outstanding baked goods and glutton free goods from St. Honore. Everything else, blah.

Having recently returned from France, I have to say that I enjoy this local market as much or better. Here you can find a sampling of bakery items, specialty food items, crafted jewelry, clothing, purses, soaps, handcrafted goods, produce and flowers. One of my favorite things is the pretzel bread available in the corner of the market. I love to... More

The French Market in Wheaton offers so many different vendors, some of whom have been at the market for many years. Everything from fresh produce, organic products, jewelry and gift items, baked breads and treats, fresh cut flowers and garden plants -- there is something for everyone. It's an energizing atmosphere, reminiscent of the open markets in Paris...sometimes even with... More

Great selection of vendors. Plants and vegetables, bakeries, food, health, jewelry, a bit of everything. Gets crowded if the weather is good. I have been told that it is the most popular market around. It's the nicest one I have seen in this area.

The way Europeans shop for food is vastly different from Americans. They go to the outdoor markets and see what the farmers and others have brought that is freshest and best, and create dishes based upon what they find. The French Market in Wheaton can cover you for the weekend by providing fresh local and artisan specialties that wait to... More

Large variety of vendors, farmers, gardeners, bakers and crafters. Reasonable prices on most items. Lots of food choices so you can eat your way from one end to the other. Gets busy later in the day so hit it early for the best selection and easier getting around.

Nice variety of vendors (fruits & veggies, flowers, crafts etc.) It can get pretty crowded and some things can be a little expensive, but we enjoy visiting a few times over the summer.

My family visits the French market almost every weekend in the summer. As for the fall it depends on the temperature. There are a lot of different booths full of different local produce and fresh cut flowers. Parking can be a little tricky so I suggest parking a block away and walking to the market.
