We recently visited the Woodstock Opera House for the first time. This is a beautifully restored old theater/opera house with lots of interesting history. Orson Wells started his career here! Sow the musical "The Christmas Story" The leads did an excellent job with their parts! Will watch their event schedule and will be back!

Went here to see, 'Christmas Story', musical theater production. I love the fact that this edifice is over 100 years old (built 1889) and beautifully restored. This is a tribute to the community; it's a real gem. The old Opera house has updated bathrooms and a room off side that sometimes carries features from the production that is put on.... More

We have been to several productions held at the Opera House. It is a regional place that is entertaining and affordable. Enjoy productions in your own home area and don't pay the big price tag or hassle of going to Chicago. I recommend that people check out what is offered and try it out.

Marti Szalai Raymond and her Theatre Arts Troupe brought us up in our seats with the music and song accompanied by Diana Laffey and Tricia Alexander! They brought down the house with member performances inspired and based on member life experiences. Cheers to them all!

Even with a long list of good acts, the best time to go in is when it's empty so you can see the great renovations, beautiful architecture and the wonderful intimacy of this historic theatre.

Lois Nettelton, Orson Wells and Paul Newman all acted on this stage. When I moved to Woodstock in the late 60's, this place was in disrepair. The community joined together and restored the theater along with several buildings on our historic square. The local Thesbian's put on some incredible plays on this small stage, including one of the best sets... More

We had great seats to see this lively production. The opera house is a beautiful venue for this show with innovative costumes, talented actors, and imaginitive doalogue.

This is our historic opera house. Many famous people have played here. Reasonable rates, free parking on the street or in city lots. Local shops and services in the walkable "Square", downtown WOODSTOCK.

I Got You, Babe filled the Woodstock Square, blaring out of the speakers as snow fell, hiding the footprints of people walking to the Opera House for the Sunday matinee of The Rock 'N" Roll Radio Show. With my wife at my side and Valentine's Day on our minds, we walked carefully holding each other from falling. I'd been around... More

Love afternoon checking the old "Haunted" Opera House. We happened on to a flyer indicating a "free" Community Choir Concert. What a fun time with my niece and 7 year old son. Music and Choir were great and we were given a brief overview of why the opera house is considered Haunted. Great afternoon indeed.
