When first I heard mention of the German Channel I immediately thought of Das Boot reruns: The 1980’s subtitled epic adventure of a motley bunch of ruggedly handsome Deutsche submariners scuttling assorted allied ships in the Mediterranean and Atlantic during World War II. My second...More

It's one of the main dive sites in Palau. Decent current so there a good chance of seeing sharks, bumphead parrot fish and other critters. We even saw a manta ray while riding the boat back to home base.

Shallow sandy bottom . There are 2 cleaning stations and can get crowded. Viz depends , but for our dive, was around 10m. SMB is useful coz in later part of the dive , one will be drifting along with current.

The whole area is just beautiful. I didn't notice this channel is man made until our tour guide had explained. It is very beautiful down there but meanwhile man can also feel the power of human destruction to the nature.

We saw marbles rays, white tips, black tips, grey reef sharks and to top it off a huge oceanic manta dropped by to welcome us. All on our 1st dive. We ended up diving here 2 more times. Highly recommended.

We saw shark, manta and feather-tailed stingrays. It was quite a drift, as well, since the current was really moving through.

No Mantas but still a great dive, the amount of fish life was out of this world. Great drift's along with great boat work made the lack of Manta's a slight hump in the day.

It's hard to find a bad diving spot in Palau and this is not a bad one either. We've seen a lot of different fish chasing each other and played with a curious Napoleon's fish.

My husband and I dove here on our honeymoon and it was our favorite dive. We were able to see manta rays feeding and hundreds of schools of fish swimming around plus a few sharks and turtles! Truly amazing and beautiful!
