More
The Miller House showcases the work of leading 20th-century architects and designers Eero Saarinen, Alexander Girard, and Dan Kiley. In 2000, the Miller House became a National Historic Landmark. The home, completed in 1957,was described in the Wall Street Journal as "...not only a landmark of modern architecture but also a fine example, possibly the finest, of a kind of modernist design with which too few are familiar, one that is warm, livable and majestic as it flows together with the landscape." Tours begin and end at The Columbus Area Visitors Center, 506 Fifth Street (not at the house). This guided tour is oriented to adults and children over 10 – please note only children over 10 are allowed on the tour and all guests must purchase a ticket.

If you know of Cummins Engine Company, then you should tour this house. Mr Miller’s innovative mind is reflected in the style of the house. Beautiful garden

Took a Girl Scout troop to see the Miller House. Beautiful! The docent was knowledgeable and helped us appreciate the architecture.

It was very interesting to see how this family had things from all over the world brought to the small town of Columbus. He was a very amazing business man!

A bit expensive for a couple but the tours are leisurely and the groups held small to a dozen or so. Very much worth it. The house is the centerpiece of an amazing town's dedication to architecture. Be sure to get a reservation.

The Columbus visitor center offers an excellent, small group tour of this Mid Century Modern landmark home and Dan Kiley designed garden. Seats are limited because of the small bus size, so be sure to book in advance. We snagged the last 3 seats on...More
