Unfortunately I don't think this Zoo is worth the money you pay to go in unless you literally have nothing else to do. The exhibits are poor, they seem to always have areas closed or no animals to view. The food is expensive and not of high quality (typical burger, hotdog, pizza, etc.). There are a lot of hills throughout... More

The zoo as a whole is in need of some renovations, but the Amazonia area is fantastic! Overall, if the weather is good I think this is a great place to go with kids, a group, a family, or even as a field trip. There's a lot of walking and hills, but the area is very pretty and full of... More

The Mesker Park Zoo is a great place to get out and walk while enjoying the animals and plants at the same time. Amazonia has a variety of interesting animals, and the orchids, birds-of-paradise flowers and other plants growing there are beautiful. Most of the other animal exhibits at the zoo are older, but many, like the takin and African... More

We have a membership at Mesker Zoo. We we like going several times a year. The staff is always friendly. It is nice to walk around. There are some moderate Hills and beautiful vegetation and plant life. Some of the enclosures could be larger and nicer. But for a small Zoo it's quite nice

Love this place.Great place to take the grandkids. Super exhibits. Plenty to see and do. Nice splash fountain for warm days and a new playground for the kids to unwind on.Food service was ok.Plenty of animals in their habitats.

Every year we make time to drive over to Evansville to the Mesker Park Botanic Garden for the orchid show, it is a pleasant break from winter and they do a great job.

The is a great place to go and walk around. You can get very close to the giraffes and several other animals. Better value if you visit often and can get the season pass.

As a local family member of Mesker Park Zoo we enjoy spending a couple hours walking around the zoo in the spring, summer and fall. It feels safe and the attractions have never been overly crowded like we've experienced at St. Louis and Lincoln Park Zoo where you can't even get up to an exhibit to very the animals. I... More

I remember this being a great inexpensive zoo for the family when I was a child; however, now many of the animals are gone (removed by the AZA for unsuitable/inhumane living conditions) and rates keep going up. Also the hours are terrible...they close early every day of the week.

My mom, and some of my friends love to come to the zoo. Having a Zoo membership is helpful in keeping the price reasonable. I really enjoy the area where the rain forest type area is as there is a lot of green plants there. I love to take pictures and this area is cool to take a lot of... More
