This is a great way to spend some time while waiting for a flight out of Ft Wayne. It's a small area located on the upper level. I found it interesting but it only takes about 15 minutes to peruse all of it.

We stopped by, as we were waiting for our flight. The displays are nicely arranged and organized. Nice to see the Fort Wayne's rich connection to aviation history. Glad we had a few minutes to view the museum, located right in the gate area, on the second level. (There's a place to make a donation, should you choose.)

The displays and information are very interesting, lots of Fort Wayne history, however it is a wasted asset because of its location. You have to have a plane ticket to access the second level where the exhibit is located. Before TSA, 911, muslims and hijackers, this was accessible to any terminal visitor. The FW Airport Authority has overlooked this fact... More

This museum is located in the upper level of the Fort Wayne Airport. You have to have a ticketed flight in order to visit this place. It is full of aviation history and is great way to kill time before a flight.

Very nice display. Find out about the Fort Wayne Airport back when it Baer Field. It's free and a nice way to while away the time before your flight leaves; keeps the kids entertained looking at the old time photos and such, and you can find out a bit about Fort Wayne history. Back in the day, anyone could walk... More

Not a ton to see here. However, it does expand your understanding of historical events. I am sure other cities would have more to offer along these lines---would need to travel to Chicago, possibly Indianapolis. Worth the look!

A nice thing to do while waiting in the airport. you have to actually go past security checkpoint, so don't expect this as an attraction without arriving or departing at the airport.

The great thing about this museum is that it is put together with some interesting items such as a Norden bombsite from WWII. The bad thing is it is located past security so few people can view. But groups who would like to do so can arrange it through the airport's Welcome Center. Highly recommended for history/aviation lovers.

This little "museum" is inside the upper gate waiting area at the Fort Wayne Baer Field airport. It's free, but you must be a passenger to see it. Great for killing time waiting for a flight... and also interesting local aviation history.

I fly into Ft. Wayne a couple of times a year and always enjoy spending a couple of minutes looking at some aviation history.
