Delightful historians telling the stories of African Americans in Fort Wayne. Informative and interesting. I'm looking forward to going back to glean more education.

I went to this site as part of the "tourist in your own town" promotion I had a wide range of info and exhibits. One interesting aspect was the issue of black inventors which unfortunately in the US it is still needed to distinguish invetors into categories to "prove" that the different ethnic groups are able to contribute. I enjoyed our visit. Sometimes you take for granted our own local history and impact locals have had on advancement, struggles and achievements. Everyone of any race can learn from a trip here.

I made my first visit to the museum in August after hearing about all of the problems that they were having with the founder of this museum. Within walking distance of downtown about 10-15 minutes. You must call for an appointment since this is a guided tour. The best part was how knowledgeable the tour guide is.
