Well presented and many authentic exhibits.

FREE Museum though they do appreciate donations. Well preserved and laid out. Couple hours are needed to fully appreciate the exhibits.

There is MUCH to see.Ornate rooms of memorabilia to commemorate all the world wars as well as various other wars such as the Vietnam war. It was created specifically at first for WW1. I was in awe as to how much there is to see! Authentic scenes and battle gear throughout. I was unable to take it all in on... More

It was closed but the external monument and surround park area a worth a look. We arrive about 15 minutes after closing. The monument is huge, and it has great statues and beautiful door around the exterior. There is also a nice park on both sides of the Monument. You should check it out.

This was an eye opening experience. Throughout the Memorial you see names and pictures displayed of fellow Hoosiers who died in the defense of our freedom. There is so much presented that it is hard to stayed focused as you wind along the path of displays. We had lived here for 10 years and driven past it many times without... More

Lots of pictures, info, authentic objects. Worth the visit. The shrine room and the auditorium are both very majestic.

The Indiana War Memorial is at the southern end of World Memorial Plaza. This was built as to honor WW1 veterans. So, the meeting rooms and theater are named after WW1 leaders, i.e. Pershing Auditorium. Yet the Memorials has artifacts/displays starting from the Revolutionary War. Fascinating collection. There's also a work replica of the USS Indianapolis radio room. When I... More

Overall--great museum and wonderful that it is free. I also liked that street/metered parking was available right outside (I didn't want to have to deal with a parking garage or walking a long distance). Inside, there are some great artifacts and stories told. It may not impress the younger crowd or the non-history fans (lots of tiny sized, massive walls... More

The entrance is free, and it has it all. Great history, exhibits and displays very well organized, clean. We learned a lot and got to remember quite a bit since school years. Great for kids to see. The building itself is magnificent, and the shrine was our favorite. Highly recomended.
