Overall--great museum and wonderful that it is free. I also liked that street/metered parking was available right outside (I didn't want to have to deal with a parking garage or walking a long distance). Inside, there are some great artifacts and stories told. It may not impress the younger crowd or the non-history fans (lots of tiny sized, massive walls... More

The entrance is free, and it has it all. Great history, exhibits and displays very well organized, clean. We learned a lot and got to remember quite a bit since school years. Great for kids to see. The building itself is magnificent, and the shrine was our favorite. Highly recomended.

This war memorial is something that no one should miss. The building itself is made from beautiful marble and the presentation of the info is wonderfully done and its free! I will warn you..it was incredible hot inside the day we toured..and I did not see any coat check so you may want to wear a light jacket. The museum... More

The Memorial is open Wed-Sun and is absolutely worth ANY time you can spend to walk through it. Each level is somewhat breathtaking, and the information is both humbling and inspiring. Personal opinion: The Shrine Room ought to be visited by everyone living in or visiting the city.

This is a World War 1 memorial and museum. The museum is great on history from the civil war on, the earlier displays need work. The crypt is very moving and should be seen by everyone. This memorial is like something you would expect in D.C. They show a side of the Great War that people need to remember.

Some of the displays literally brought us to tears. My son was hit the hardest at the Korean war displays (my granddad - was my sons best friend and was in Korea). I was ok until I walked into the 9/11 memorials. I honestly appreciate how reverent everything is to give proper honor to the men and woman who fought... More

Went here as part of a general day look around. A very beautiful monument, with incredible marble inside. It is free so as a traveler was beneficial.
