Very nice.. Was saddened that not all the Counties was represented within the 200 year celebration area. But, the Museum was very nice. Worth the $$.

This really looked like an amazing place, but I tagged along on a school field trip and we didn't get to see that much at all. From what we saw, it looked amazing though. I will definitely be going back with the whole family soon.

One day is not enough time to see everything in this museum. It has everything from dinosaurs, Indians, fossils, old cars, trains, forestry in Indiana, and more... Oh yes can't forget the IMAX Theatre. Very interesting and lots to learn about Indiana. I need to go back to see the rest of it. So much and not enough hours in... More

Excellent overview of Indiana history. I learned a lot, particularly about some of the manufacturing done in Indiana (refrigerators, tvs, caskets!) and how, through the years, the people there have been resistant to change and immigrants. Well worth your time.

We visited the museum with the singular purpose of seeing a movie at the IMAX theater. As IMAX theaters go, this one is old and outdated with narrow seats and small drink holders. While they do offer digital caption devices for the hearing impaired, the devices do not fit in the drink holders as designed inasmuch as the drink holders... More

This is obviously the premier museum for showcasing Indiana in all phases of its history: geology, paleontology, engineering, manufacturing, inventions, farming, etc, etc, etc

I was honored to serve as a chaperone on a 4th grade field trip this week. The exhibits were slightly boring, minimally interactive and staff presence non-existent. One child in my group had to hunt down the one employee that we did see the entire trip, to ask a question about an exhibit item. I am a college graduate and... More

My favorite time to visit is at Christmas. They have miniature displays of the old time Department store winter Windows downtown. The old Ayres train takes children through a winter wonderland. If you want, you can enjoy a meal in the Ayres Tea Room replica. Another wonderful display highlights famous men and women from Indiana. Animals, antiques, artist, and rock... More

visited for an event recently which was very well done. However, the museum exhibits did little to introduce us to the history of this great state. Was left wanting more.
