Renowned author Kurt Vonnegut took an unflinching look at the world, tempered with a satirical eye and sardonic sense of humor. In honor of his wit and wisdom, the Kurt Vonnegut Museum and Library champions the literary, artistic and cultural contributions of the late writer, artist, teacher and Indianapolis native Kurt Vonnegut. The library and museum serves as a cultural and educational resource unique to the nation.

Did not know Kurt was from Indy, so it was a pleasant surprise finding this. The museum is nice and they have a gift shop with T-shirts and various items. You can visit the gift shop without paying admission to the museum part.

Very nice concentration of Vonnegut stuff. I like seeing his art and watching the videos about him. The computer "interactive" thing was also a neat way to browse Vonneguterry easily and effectively. Contact the Library for info about special events in 2017.

This is a small, but well organized museum / library. I visited the library with my daughter for a school project. We took a interesting (free) tour and enjoyed our visit a lot. My daughter loved writing on the type writer.
