BEAUTIFUL! Compares to European cathedrals

Absolutely stunning! Stopped in quickly and was excited to see such beauty. Grottos around the corner were equally amazing.

The outside is stunning especially viewed from the top of Bartley street near the cemetery. The inside is filled with I think over a million mosaics. It has a real European feel and you must see it!

Didn't know what to expect in this small town and pleasantly surprised. Beautiful stained glass windows and old wooden pews. Currently in the process of a fund-raiser to paint/preserve the interior and restore the stained glass but no work in process yet.

It's hard to believe that a group of immigrants in the 1800s would have the fortitude to build a church this magnificent when you visit you will leave sayingWOW

The exterior of the church is beautiful and seems enormous. The grounds are well landscaped and carefully tended. The main doors were unlocked so we went in for a quick peek. Two friendly people were inside cleaning, so one of them turned on all the lights so we could see and take better pictures. The interior is exquisite. Every surface... More

This church is an architectural marvel, especially when one considers that it was constructed by its parishioners and designed and planned by its parish priest over 100 years ago. From the marble altars to the ornate stained glass windows, this facility demonstrates what true ingenuity can do when the right forces are in place. A must see!

St. Joseph Church is one of the most beautiful churches in Indiana. Lots of marble and amazing stain glass windows. Daily Mass is offered at different times during the week, so check the website. The church is a great stop just the see the interior.

We stopped here because of others reviews. Pretty church and loved the history. We were going to attend service but our timeframe didn't fit.

We have driven past this church several times, and after reading the reviews on here, we decided to stop. We are not Catholics, but it doesn't matter. Pictures don't even begin to show it's beauty. It truly took my breath away when I walked through the doors.
