They have quite possibly the largest collection of Haynes automobiles in the world, as well as Apperson and a few other marques that I had never heard of, and I'm a car guy. Jay Leno has visited here, if that tells you anything! All in all, a very enjoyable and relaxing walk through the history of automobiles in America.

This history filled, open vista museum is a quiet gem sitting on a busy road that many people pass every day and don't see !! It's all on one level so there's no stairs to climb. The range of cars covers the earliest to the most massive. It awakens memories and opens conversations that cross generations. Bring the kids and... More

This is a neat place ... a huge room/garage with many many vehicles, both produced by Haynes-Apperson (from early 1900's) but also Packards, etc. Take your time and enjoy and walk around, you can sit in one old car. There's also old juke box, coke machines, etc. Do have gift shop. Nobody rushes you. Only $5 to get in, $4... More

My brother Rick was in town and I offered to take him to the museum. He likes museums, but was unsure about this one because Kokomo is small. Then when the price was a ridiculously low $4, he was sure it wasn't going to be worth the time. This is one of the best auto museums you will be able... More

My husband and I enjoyed going in there. We like the fact as small as it was, it had a quiet of lot of vehicles.

We visited the museum this summer while my in-laws were here from Montana. It rained heavily one of the days they were here so we were brainstorming options of what to do. My father-in-law is retired from Ford in Detroit so I suggested the museum, thinking we could kill a bit of time. We ended up spending over 2 hours... More

This museum has a very nice collection of over 100 vintage and classic cars, including Haynes, Apperson, Maxwell, and Chevy. It's a one-tank trip from many Midwest cities including Chicago ,Lansing, Louisville, and Cincinnati. If you enjoy seeing old cars, this is a good museum to visit. (There is an entrance fee.)

The oldest vehicle is a 1894 Elwood Haynes 1894 replica of his Pioneer, with newest being a 1966 Chevell SS 396. Possibly later vehicle are available. There are eleven Haynes/Haynes-Apperson autos. The museum's brochure says 100 vehicles are available for viewing, with the Haynes Pioneer greeting visitors first. I photographed 81 vehicles. Vehicles means mostly autos, with a few trucks,... This museum focuses on the Haynes Apperson auto history, but includes many makes and models from many years. Even included an EV 1, the electric car by General Motors. Also features a mock up of an early machine shop.
