We are history buffs so this was a must see for us. Our tour guide Bill was a wealth of information. The house was in the family for years and was never really updated with 20th century modern conveniences. The river view is beautiful.

Bill was tour guide and was very knowledgeable about the Mansion and the history of the Lanier family. The mansion is well preserved with the correct furnishings for the period. Very nice tour.

What an amazing home, the history of this place is awe inspiring. Our Guide was more than happy to answer all questions. I really recommend this to anybody going to Madison.
