- Amy C1 contributionDisappointingUsed to go to this park when I was a teen and loved it, took my kids a few times when they where little and thought this was a nice park with reasonable prices. That all changed for the worse. Took my grandkids about 5 years ago and it was very run down, even the campgrounds, and was fed up with what we experienced and said that was our last time. Then last year I seen a lot of people saying they did some improvements (probably employees} So I decided to buy a season pass that I wish I didnt. Went over the weekend and it didnt look like they did much. Campgrounds are horrible, the sites are so small and smashed in, the first two showers I tried spit out a bunch of rust and then nothing, the handicap shower just had a little stream of water, bathrooms needs updated bad. Some one had there radio going till 2am, security even drove by them and didnt say a word to them, They want to have all kinds of strict rules but dont enforce them. campground roads need fixed. Amusement park was a joke, prices are sky high on food, not much of a deal on souvenir cups and refills. Half the rides were closed or broke down later in the day. Planter boxes with chipped paint and dried up dirt in them through out the park, a few fountains where not working and full of moss, cracked and chip paint. The beach is a sore sight it looks like something from a sewer plant and just gross. And no smoking in the park, should at least have a couple of smoking areas for us smokers. There putting in a big roller coaster when they should of just took that money and did some improvements before even thinking about this new coaster. This was very disappointing. Waste of my money, I could of got a better deal on a season pass at a much bigger amusement park then the pettily perks I got with this. If they keep it up I can see them closing again. Notice the pictures of the algae bloom in the beach area. I remember swimming their 5 years ago and the bottom of the water was all slimey and the water was dirty and I immediately got out, and now seeing this from the sky ride just grossed me out.Visited May 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten May 8, 2023
- Kristin W1 contributionDon’t use the credit card only locker system!!!!Do not use the lockers!!! It immediately charged my credit card $18+ but the door never opened. A nice lady next to me told me she had to put the code in 3x to get the door to open, andI then another family choked in that they had to input their 4x to get it to work properly. The door never even opened at all no matter how many times we entered our code…now I get to waste a couple hours of my time fighting the locker and credit card company for a charge for services I never received.Visited June 2023Travelled with familyWritten June 20, 2023
- Praye P1 contributionIt was horrible. This place is a joke. Dirty. And none of the water rides were operable last week when we went. Beach was closed. I don't have a lot of money. Promised the kids I'd take them. How disappointing. Drive an hour and a half to this junkyard. Then when I said something about it in Facebook they want to quiet me by blocking me. It's money folks. Hard to come by. Their false representation of this dirty junkyard is nothing except lies. This place needs shut down. What a horrible experience for the kids. And it was their summer activity. What a waste of money.Visited June 2023Travelled with familyWritten June 20, 2023
- Missy A1 contributionDisappointingI would never recommend this place to anyone. The website does not reflect what it truly is. We were disappointed in the fact that there really isn’t a beach. There were about 8 rides not running on the day we went. We decided to do rides in morning and water slides in afternoon. Unbeknownst to us the water slides closed at 2 due to lack of staff so my kids and I head over there around 215 to be told water slides are closed. Talk about some upset kiddos. The closure was not told to us or posted as we came in. When I went to guest relations they informed me it was updated on the app which I did not have. They were completely uncaring about the disappointment my kids experienced and said they would take note to post it better in the future. Needless to say that didn’t help us at the time. In addition, most of the workers were rude and not taking safety on the rides seriously. I told them I didn’t expect a refund but some compensation would be appreciated but they gave me nothing. I will NEVER go back and would caution other families to go somewhere else.Visited August 2023Travelled with familyWritten August 5, 2023
- Cass1 contributionWorst customer service I have hadMy family and I went to the park on July 22nd. Only two of the roller coasters were in operation and one of the ones stalled. There was only one waterslide working. I had never been to Indiana beach, so I wanted to take my family to do a first. It turned out to be a good day because our family was together but not riding everything that we wanted and looked forward to based off of the website was a bummer. One of the roller coasters shown online said it would be up and running in 2022, well that one is still in pieces. I have called and requested to have management call me back over 7 times now with leaving voicemails, a worker emailing, and even emailing a couple comments with NO RESPONSE. If I knew how to get a hold of the owner I would at this point. This is HORRIBLE customer service, and, in my opinion they need to rearrange some roles there. I did talk to a lady named Becca that tried to help as much as she could. I would say drive south in Indiana to Holiday World or over a state to Kings Island because this park is a joke including their "upper management".Visited July 2023Written August 23, 2023

Have been going for almost 8 years consecutively as my husband had spent most of his childhood here, we wanted to do the same for our kids. We will NOT be buying our yearly season passes anymore because of the sheer ignorance of staff and Management combined. Never had issues until now when the south gate attendee swore at me in front of my children only to have them deactivate one of our passes due to employee lying ALSO multiple times we've been there this year 2023 and horrible accidents have happened to other guests. ONE BEING The tiger roller coaster slammed into the back of the coaster seat on the track resulting in a women screaming from the pain. This place is nothing but an over priced stationary carnival with nothing but ametures and idiots running the show. NEVER AGAIN! ONLY good thing about this place is the bartender MIchelle. She's awesome but the rest is falling apart and I'm surprised no ones died yet from the many malfunctions that we've witnessed happen on multiple different rides.

I’ve been going to Indiana Beach since I was a kid. That was in the 80’s and for some perspective, my mother used to go when she was a kid too… and she’s almost 80.
If you’re expecting something like Six Flags or King’s Island this is not it. If you dig vintage pop culture, carnivals, and unique conglomerations of fun, food and sights, then it’s a must see.
The rides have been added over decades so some are very old and they show their wear. They are still fun and safe. Sometimes they need maintenance. It is what it is. The newer rides are woven into the landscape so you get a good mix.
There are lots of arcade games, carnival style games, kiddie rides, and food of all kinds.
The gluten free pizza at Earl’s is lovely, by the way.
The water park is a safe way to enjoy the water on a heavily boated lake. The “beach” is really more of a blocked off part of the lake. I can’t really handle the slides anymore but the lazy river is always a treat. My son is getting older but still has fun in the splash pad.
Is it different? Yes. Is it fun? Yes. Is it old? Uhm. Yes. But riding bumper cars in the same building my mom used to roller-skate in and eating a hot dog near where Sonny and Cher and The Beach Boys have played makes me recognize the historical significance and makes everything very enjoyable for me and my son.
If you want a sandy beach with waves, go to the Indiana dunes. If you want a more modern amusement park check out Holiday World or Six Flags Great America.
But if you truly want to experience a unique part of American history while having some family friendly fun? I highly recommend a day at IB.

Bought season passes. First day too hot, need more benches in shady spots for people to wait while kids are on the rides. Went daily, mid-week, late afternoon to evening worked better. Short lines, cooler. Kids had a great time. New owner is improving things. A small thing, but try harder to keep your flower pots alive and flourishing, seeing dead plants gives a negative impression of neglect. We appreciated a smaller less crowded amusement park. Would definitely visit again.

The park is starting to turn around far as having that clean look. They still have several issues with staffing. Water park on Friday, July 7th had no water slides open and only lazy river. (SAID WAS STAFFING) There was like 3 other big rides that were closed too. Just once I like see park in full operation like it once was. Lower the price admission, food, and drinks for we can enjoy more then just once a year!

We took our 6 & 3 yo grandsons on their first weekend camping trip and first trip to an amusement park with rides. They had "the best weekend ever!" We arrived Thursday at the KOA campground and it was pretty empty. It filled up Friday evening but was still nice. Our camper was having issues with the water pump so we used the bath house for showers. No complaints there except people are pigs and need to clean up their own messes. Campground staff shouldn't have to wipe the handfuls of hair you choose to put on the shower walls. (And I shouldn't have had to wipe it down either.) Leave places as good as - or better than - you found them. The water in the shower was warm enough. I do wish the button got a bit more water than 15 seconds at a time though. Trams/trolleys to the boardwalk were frequent and clean. Every driver we had was really personable and friendly. The boardwalk was clean and all the staff we encountered were nice and informative. We were able to ride the old fashioned cars, log flume, Den of Lost Thieves, gigantic ferris wheel, carousel, and tilt a whirl as a family (2 adults, 1 45 inch tall child, 1 36 inch tall child). The 45 inch boy got to drive us on the old fashioned cars and freaked out that he was driving us OVER WATER! Lol. He also got to ride on some of the bigger rides with his grandpa and the little rose some of the kiddie rides. The water park was fun. The boys enjoyed the beach and the splash pad. It's lake water that makes the beach, so it looks like lake water. But we have no complaints about it. There was more than enough sand for the boys to play in and have a ball. And the splash pad was a huge hit with them. That's what really wore them out! It had been about 20 years since we had been to Indiana Beach and this trip brought back a lot of good memories. We will definitely be coming back, probably with the whole family in tow! PS - We got season passes for the two adults (cheaper than two one day passes). If we would have been there during the week, we could have used the 'bring a friend' pass for one boy each day.

Are you able to go back and forth to the car as necessary? My granddaughter has diabetes, and preferably can test, dose her medication privately.
