Just spent an evening at one of the great memorable events each year in Muncie, Minnetrista's Luminaria. Two Ball brother houses are beautifully decorated for the holiday. Musicians play holiday songs. Outside bonfires warm those seeking other comforts. The cultural center at the top of hill is filled with musical activities, many visitors, and a variety of activities, including interactive... More

Recently visited Minnetrista on my visit to Muncie. This is a large place with nice paths for walking. The gardens are very nice. There is an excellent Farmers Market here on weekends. The visitor center/museum has displays relating to the Ball family plus rotating exhibits.

We frequent the Minnetrista Farmer's Market. There are lots of great offerings from local vendors. The concerts offered on the green are always fun.

This is my favorite place to simply stroll through the many beautiful gardens, walk the nature trail and see plants which are native to the area, to linger by the lagoon to watch the turtles and frogs, visit the many exhibits, see a concert on the lawn or take advantage of one of the many special events throughout the year.... We have visited Minnetrista to stoll through the gardens several times. For the first time, one of the large homes along the river was open to see. Apparently Minnetrista opens the home, Oakhurst, 2 Saturdays per month for now. They are seeking feedback from visitors as to how to best present the home. So we walked through and filled out,... This is a beautiful park with several different features to see. It has many sights of nature and some architectural pieces as well. This is a great spot for a picnic or date and it's free!

The gardens and nature area are nice and free to visit. We enjoyed walking around even though it was very hot. You can also see the outside of the 5 remaining hitoric Ball family homes. On certain days you can enter 1 of them. The staff is very friendly and the main building is very nice. I never complain about... More

Minnetrista is a nice place to spend a little time to get better acquainted with where the Ball Brothers lived. All but one of their homes are still standing, there's lots of information at the visitor center. The nearby gift shop has all kinds of interesting knick knacks as well as cold drinks and ice cream. Staff are very friendly.... More

We were here for a wedding. The PA system was down for about 30 minutes causing a late start for a very, very hot outdoor wedding. There were several senior citizens some with handicaps. After about 20 minutes in the hot sun, the staff offered cold bottled water for the guests. This was not acceptable!
