There are some nice trails, untouched areas, plenty of parking areas. It's absolutely Gorgeous in the fall.

Average.. Some roads are in bad shape...I have no desire to go back unless it's for a short cut that will get me somewhere else ...

The park is cleasn, beautiful scenery, lots of nature and trails. The people there are very friendly and helpful. the trees were starting to turn and it was a very calm cool day.

I went up the creek beds with my grandkids. The loved it. Minnows, crawfish and tadpoles plus an old time swimmin' hole. My kids loved creekbeds too.

I always enjoy Yellowwood State Forest. It isn't nearly as crowded as Brown County State Park and it's got great trails, you get a great workout here. Camping is first come, first served and you get quite a bit of space between the campsites. There aren't showers at the Campground though.

I have not tried camping at Yellowwood yet, but I have hiked there many times over the years. I love the lake trail! It is a good distance and just hilly enough to get up a sweat. I feel safe hiking alone because even though the trail feels secluded, it is never very far to civilization. Can feel a bit... More

A very relaxing place. Everything is very nice and not too crowded. The Jackson Creek trail is well marked, the Lake trail not so much, especially near the dam. There's a beautiful lawn with a great view on the north side that is great for picnics. The campsites are clean.

Trails and a large reservoir. Very scenic. Rustic and out of the way. The road to the reservoir required us to drive our car across a couple of small streams. If it had been after a rain, we wouldn't have been able to make the drive. Highlight was seeing a bald eagle that was close enough to photograph well. Highlight... More

We live nearby and visit Yellowwood often and happily. The hikes are easy enough and always interesting, especially along Jackson Creek.

Stunning trails and a great chance to view and appreciate the natural landscape of Brown County. I recommend going while the leaves are changing in the fall. I was able to see some amazing rock formations, birds, deer and mushrooms. Very beautiful and calming area. Put some time aside to take your time and enjoy the natural surroundings.
