Grissom Air Museum is a non-profit organization whose mission is to educate our guests about the 70+ year history of this military base. We provide many experiences including tours, simulators, speakers, and multiple artifact displays. Are mission is to continue the legacy of the brave men and women who served on this base. Featured: Oldest B-58 Hustler, SAC Base Alert Tower, "Looking Glass" Mission's EC-135, Oldest Tanker "KC-97", F-100 Flown by Neil Armstrong, TF-102 Flown by President George W. Bush, and an A-10 Thunderbolt/Warthog. Plus a BA-53 Nuclear Bomb!

A great place to see aviation history from all branches of the US Military. Nice inside facility and the outside museum was nice and open. You could get up close to the planes and read their history and function.

Grissom was a fun museum to see. Inside there were a few planned that kids (small adults) can sit in and okay with the controls. My 4 year old had the best time playing pilot. Outside was a nice walk to each of the planes....More

We went with family and had a wonderful experience. The staff are friendly, accommodating and informative. The inside museum is engaging, informative and nicely structured. If you like planes or have a plane enthusiast, stop here for sure! Staff ultra friendly and knowledgeable. Some inside displays are interactive others just cool too see. Outside there's a walking trail to see the aircraft and a tower for overhead views! Just a...More

We stopped here as we were heading back after a business trip. You start off in side the main building which as an assortment of all things related to aircraft . You are able to get into a F4 cockpit as well as a Huey....More
