My husband being a Huey Helicopter Pilot -Vietnam Veteran went to Peru Indiana to be able to fly a Huey once again. This organization that puts on this event annually takes old Hueys & reconstructs & maintains these copters only through donations. A maintenance shop in Texas donates there engines, no cost for labor, only parts have to be paid... More

As a Vietnam Era Veteran, I went to my first annual meeting of Veterans and Patriots at Grissom in August 2015. I never served in Vietnam but my brother did. It allowed me to discover important facts. The two Huey's and Potato Helicopter were used to provide a live reenactment for a " downed Pilot " rescue. A great event... More

Being an Army Veteran who flew Hueys in Vietnam this museum was for me, very nostalgic. They have two flying Hueys and a flyable LOH. Just hearing the noise that the hueys make brought a lump in my throat. Then they let my fly it and it was wonderful. This was a Huey that I actually had flown in 1967... More

everyone is so friendly and the planes and helicopters and other memorabilia are something to see and hear about
