For one weekend each fall the "Feast of the Hunters Moon" is held at this park. It is a great fun filled feast.....lots of entertainment.....a good selection of food booths.......and many unique items for sale. Many people wear period clothing and practice crafts from the 1700's. Next year the feast (the 50th) will be held on Sept. 30th and Oct.... More

Unless you go the weekend of the Feast of the Hunter's Moon, there's not much at this park. It is a quiet place to have a picnic and view the Wabash. We stopped by this weekend while the blockhouse was open...while there are a few artifacts on display, the docent didn't really have much to share. The actual site of... More

The Wabash River runs along Fort Ouitenon, it's quite scenic throughout the seasons! Certainly worth a trip out. Pack a lunch and walk around the park. Check out the building, learn a little more about the history of the area! Nice for a couple of hours while walking, learning, and relaxing near the river. There is a festival in the... More

We stopped out after reading about the fort. The building and across are interesting from a historical perspective. They are also nice to view in the spring.

I love going to the Feast of the Hunter's Moon. I like to watch the various dancers and listen to the music. The food is also great.

The Feast of the hunter's Moon is a great weekend, with a lot of history being re-lived. The inclusion of various groups in the weekend, native Americans, French, British, early traders of the area - all make a great event. The Feast generally occurs on a weekend in October. The offerings of foods is great. At other times of the... More

Fort Quiatenon is a generally tranquil and fairly large recreation facility just southwest of West Lafayette along the Wabash River. There is a good boat launch and bank fishing, some trails along the river (it connects to the Wabash Heritage Trail somewhere) and the historic recreation of the fort blockhouse, which has a gift shop. There is a good large... More

Fort Quiatenon is a park just southwest of West Lafayette/Purdue University. It is a quiet free park to enjoy, but the weekend in Oct, it comes to life. Feast of the Hunter's Moon- Reenactments of the French Fur traders and Indians. History in front of your eyes. Park at the Ross Ade Stadium North parking lot and take the shuttle... More
