Nice winery

Very friendly place to visit. Nice assortment of wines. They are refurbishing the building, so facilities are limited. Should be really nice after completion.

Nice selection of both red and white wines. They even have a good selection of desert fruit wines. Being a red wine lover I was impressed with the Saint Croix wine. Loved the hints of spice and clean finish. The short drive up the gravel road is well worth the dusty road.

Our wine tasting hostess, Ambarlee, was very friendly and welcoming. The tasting room, however, was simply ho-hum. Tiny area for the tastings and no chairs or stools. The wines were pretty basic, although the cranberry was very tasty. Pretty grounds with an old barn used for events.

You really feel like you can see all parts of the winery here. As you drive up and view much of the vineyards and the neat old barn etc. Sure this would be a great place to hang out on a warm Summer eve. As well as when they offer live music. Super nice staff and great variety of wines... More

We couldn't get to all the wineries we planned but I'm glad we chose to visit Tabor Home. The wines were flavorful, the tasting room small but elegant--perfect. Our server was friendly and helpful. The vineyard was very pretty.

We visited Sunday morning at 11 and they were closed. The website said open at noon, but phone recording said at 11am. Would have liked to visit. Rated as average since didn't get inside.)

When there is music this is one of the most relaxing places to go on Sunday afternoon. Delicious wine and friendly hosts. Paul is one of the pioneers of wine in Iowa.
