We often go when the mosque has special events for the public typically with homemade middle eastern foods. Home cooked and attentively if a bit informally served but the people are so welcoming and kind.

Right in Iowa, this is, I believe, the oldest mosque in continued operation. Although it's small, it's still a functioning mosque. Located in a neighborhood near downtown, it's certainly worth stopping to see it.

back in August 1980, i used to be a student at Kirkwood Community college, me and my Moslem friends used to go and pray their especially Friday prayer.
