Enjoyed the tour leader

The Glenn Miller Birthplace & Museum is always a treat to visit. So interesting to see where this iconic music figure began his life.

Rick, the curator, is excellent and very personable, as is all the folks there. It's quite an interesting museum.

Museum curator gave us a nice tour - we especially enjoyed learning more about GM's service as a military band director.

Nice museum and society that host an annual celebration to remember this iconic bandsman. The biographical film is time well spent, the exhibits are worth viewing, and the house is the reason for everything else. The staff was helpful and accommodating and was very positive in encouraging the two teen boys who were also visiting at the same time to... More

We learned a lot about band leader Glenn Miller, especially his contribution to the war effort, at this very nice little museum in his birthplace, Clarinda, Iowa (about 75 miles southeast of Council Bluffs). With the help of his adopted daughter, the Glenn Miller Birthplace Society has restored his birthplace home next door to the museum. His story is well-told... More

Growing up in that time of history one had to love Glenn Miller. The movie offered a lot of stories of that time for anyone not of that era of time.

The Glenn Miller Birthplace Society museum is a fine small museum honoring an outstanding American and band leader. Definitely take time to see this if you are in southwest Iowa. There is a small fee to enter unless you are a member of GMBS, then it's free.

The Glen Miller Museum and House are in the pretty town of Clarinda, Iowa, and both are worth taking the time to visit. The Birthplace house is in front of a museum devoted to Glen Miller, the exhibition space is new and fresh and has been well designed to engage the visitor in ''The Glen Miller Story''. It's irrelevant whether... More

The small town of Clarinda is a gorgeous little place, the kind I call a "Jimmy Stewart Town" because it is like an old Jimmy Stewart movie setting. This was very fitting considering Jimmy Stewart played Glenn Miller in the bio movie. So we really enjoyed this museum and tribute to the great band leader. A lot of care and... More

The museum is very new and has some exhibits on the life and times of big band leader Glenn Miller. The house was in good shape and the person giving the tour did a great job of answering questions and sharing stories. Well worth a visit.
