Being we book ahead we got in to tour house before drop in groups. The guides very knowledgeable could answer questions or find... More

It was an informative, illuminating, and intimate glimpse into the Larabees' everyday lives and what an exceptional family they were. This magnificent estate is unique in that... More

For a small museum this was a precious place to enjoy. Many artifacts which included period furnishings, dolls, war weaponry and documents. Spend a couple hours at least.

The home is furnished with original furniture and other artifacts. The home has two pianos which I was offered the opportunity to play with great joy. The grounds of this fourteen... More

Great trip in time, to early days of Iowa settlement. Excellent stewardship of materials and furnishings from the period of settlement of the state.

Some excellant Art pieces and it was all given to the State of Iowa. It is a Free Museum with free guided tours from spring... More

This beautiful old home is open for tours. The guides are enthusiastic about their job and know lots of stories about the original residents. The grounds are also quite nice, and I wish I had had more time to walk around the grounds. On the way to the house, I saw signs for tours of historic Clermont, which I'm sure... More
