This is worth the stop if you are in the area. It's like 3 attractions in 1. Right across the road are the 2 live cam Eagle Nests. The fish Hatchery and a lovely Spillway. Nice walking trails, clean area next to the trout run, so great biking, also.

The fish hatchery was a fun stop during our day trip to Decorah. There are trout to see of all sizes. My teenagers and I had a great time feeding the fish. A quarter for a handful of food makes for an inexpensive family activity. In addition, the Decorah eagles are located very near to the hatchery. We enjoyed finally... More

If you've never seen how fish are raised for release, this is neat. Kids always enjoy getting to feed them too. The area is beautiful with a creek flowing out of a cave. Nice place to fish and picnic. Bike trails now goes through and known for eagles best nearby so tourist traffic has increased.

Beautiful park, scenic waterfall. Fish rearing trout hatchery. Great place for a picnic. Picnic tables, modern restrooms. Trout run bicycle / walk path, runs adjacent to it. Great place to bring your children or grandchildren.

Very nice, well maintained fish hatchery. Nice to see the different species and stages of the fish life. Was able to see the eagles in bluffs above.

It was pretty cool to see the trout, from fingerlings to breeders. There are fish food dispensers that give a generous amount for 25 cents. Feed the big breeders, not the fingerlings, so that they'll come to the surface. They're huge! Lovely streams and there were several people fishing. I would recommend, though, that a trail map be added to... More

Nice access to a trout hatchery and spring fed stream. The information on the stream habitat reclamation was very informative. Very nice wild flower area and lots of local birds.

Beautiful location surrounded by bluffs and a natural spring. This is a great place to take the kids, feed the trout and have a picnic. While there be sure to check out the eagle's nests. And if you enjoy fishing, this is the beginning of one of northeast Iowa' s most popular trout fishing streams. Lots of handicap accessible spots.

A fabulous place to take kids. They can feed the fish and see them in all their stages until they are released into Iowa's lakes and streams. So beautiful and serene here...a great place for a picnic.
