Love visiting this beautifully maintained capital! Lots to see for history lovers as well. Tours are great and treat if you can visit the dome.

The kids and I spent an afternoon visiting our state rep. and touring the building. The tour guide was very knowledgeable. They have done a beautiful job restoring it. The tour includes going up to the bottom of the dome for a great view.

The state capital takes 1/2 hr to 2 hrs depending on how much you read and enjoy the displays. The natural museum in the building next to it takes about equal amount of time. We went with a teenager who was not into it... More

Yes there are steps but it does have handicapped accessibity. It is a bit difficult to get to some places easily. You are unable to go up to the top of the dome as it's 130 steps and no elevator. Saturday is open, but only... More
