We hiked Horseshoe Bluff with kids. It's a perfect hike for families. Don't miss it! You can see the river, rocky cliffs, many birds, and more. It only took us about 45 minutes.

Hiked several trails of various lengths and difficulty. Beautiful area. Well maintained trails. Mostly grass paths. There is a paved path near the interpretive center that is partly handicap accessible and features information about various local tree species. Highly recommended.

This is a beautiful park There are all kinds of trail (some easier than others) and is extremely photogenic! There is no where in this park that you won't get great pictures. Enjoy the beauty!

The canyon in this park is breathtakingly gorgeous, in part because it's unexpected. Climb up to the overlook to see the river, and drive to the Julien Dubuque Monument for some Dubuque history and a closer view of the city.

Yes. It is posted 'on leash', but many do not. When we walk with a dog, I call her to come when I see another person and leash her. She obeys so it is easy. Also, one should plan on cleaning up the dirty. Dogs love the area... More
