If you do anything while you're on A Illa de Arousa (besides enjoy the awesome beaches and seafood), you should rent a kayak from Arturo and crew at Piraguilla. It is the best way to explore all the nooks and crannies of the island and especially to go visit Islote Areoso, the small uninhabited island of sand a few km off the coast. The beach is wild and beautiful, the waters so clear for swimming. On the paddle out, you can weave in between the 'bateas' and watch the men harvesting mussels. The best part is that the people at Piraguillo will put you in the water and pick you up anywhere on the island so that you can paddle all the way around if you want! They make it easy and hassle free and are excited for you to explore their beautiful home.…
