I remember coming here 30 years ago when there was nothing but the view and a rock jetting out to sit on for a fantastic picture!! Now it is much more family oriented and a safer way to enjoy the view!! Since our winters seem to be less hostile the Bald Eagles seem to migrate and stay around this area... More

Clean. Maintained. Trails. Free! Came across this park by accident, took a wrong turn, seen the sign, figured what's a couple more miles.

A great state park for all ages and mobility. A short walk from the parking lot is amazing bluff view of the Mississippi river. There are trails for the more mobile site visitors through the forested bluff area.

Pikes Peak State Park offers amazing views of the mighty Mississippi. You can see the confluence of Mississippi River and Wisconsin River as well as the city of Prairie du Chien, WI. The park is named after Lt. Zebulon Pike as the peak in Colorado.

We stopped at the park when it was a cold, rainy day in late November. We were the only people there, but that was OK. The views from the overlooks were spectacular. We plan to return when the weather is better to camp and hike the many trails in the park.

I've come to view and hike here MANY times over several decades but still enjoy it every time! Don't think I've ever gone in November, but still nice, just much colder. There are some great trails that require doing lots of steps. There is a lot you of areas with no steps and great views of the river. Also picnic... More

Great campground, good size well kept campsites. Great day use, picnic tables, BBQs, new bathrooms. Views to oooh and aaah over, with several view points right near the parking lot as well as other vantage points accessed by short walks. And so much history, this is a must see spot just a few miles north of Marquette, Iowa on the... More

The scenic overlooks were amazing. The Mississippi was quite humbling. The park is easy to get to. There are paved walking trails so anyone can enjoy it. Great place to have a picnic with the family, or just let your kids get outdoors. Take your time and enjoy the view. You will love it.

Easy to get to. Beautiful drive there. Plenty of parking. Parking area gets u right to the highest lookout so no hiking if u prefer not to. Trails easily marked. Took a walk to the falls. Easy and a must see. So peaceful and relaxing. Next time we will go when the fall leaves are in full peak!
