Being a 16 year Navy veteran, i really enjoyed this museum..they have exhibits from all conflicts..worth the time to see.

AwWell-displayed tour of each war, with artifacts, uniforms, weapons & photographs. A history-buff could easily spend hours.

Get the dog tags and visit the different time periods to read your role in them. My grandsons really enjoy this aspect of the museum, but there is something for everyone including planetarium shows and a separate building has the Imaginarium, a hands on science...More

Great place to read about various wars, Iowan's who participated, Iowa companies that provided support, etc. Great interactive exhibits, videos, displays, etc. A planetarium is also in the museum but we missed the presentation. There is also a great history of the Waterloo area. Well...More

Great place to visit. Went there thinking we would spend an hour & were there 3 hours!!! Didn't realize this was included in the Grout museum!! The Veitnam display was there when we were there. Awesome & informative!!
