Three miles east of Worcester surrounded by glorious countryside and deer...

Three miles east of Worcester surrounded by glorious countryside and deer park lays one of Britain’s best-kept secrets. Spetchley is a garden for all tastes containing one of the biggest private collections of plant varieties outside the major botanical gardens. Spetchley is not a formal paradise of neatly manicured lawns or beds but rather a wondrous display of plants, shrubs and trees woven into a garden of many rooms and vistas. It is certainly an ever changing garden and one undergoing many changes. The Revival Project is in its infancy; a ten year project aimed at reviving Spetchley's wonderful legacy. Please follow us to see how we get on and come and visit to view this wonderful garden and watch its transformation.

Visited last month on a cream tea deal and was owed by the beautiful grounds and scenery. Our Cream tea was really nice but the highlight of the day was our tour tour of the house which was fascinating and great fun too! I would really recommend a visit to this little treasure

Spetchley Park Gardens is a garden in transition I feel. There has been the development of a new car park and small ticket office/ visitor centre with a gently meandering path lined with newly planted borders of peony and hydrangea. There is a large number and variety of peonies in many wonderful colours and size of blooms. There are areas... More

Wonderful lakeside walks - one near the house, the other in the deer park. Garden 'rooms' full of interesting plants and flowering trees. Go in the spring for narcissi and a bit later for peonies and then roses in which they specialise. The tearoom, by contrast, is awful. Despite a fresh lick of paint and new furniture, the tearoom is... More

Thank you for your review and I am so glad you loved the garden. I am sorry you found the tea room disappointing. We have had some very good reviews on the tea room this season and are very proud of what they have achieved, and so it is obviously upsetting to hear of a negative experience and I can... More

Garden is well cared for by staff and volunteers and there's lots of different planting for the seasons. Parkland and deer too. Plenty of parking. Reasonable entrance fees. We enjoyed our lunch in the tea rooms and there was a lovely array of cakes (which we too full up to try.)

Love Spetchley at any time of the year and since the lake has been dredged and refilled, there is a fresh sense of possibility here. At the moment the peonies and irises are stunning, and the trees are fantastic. My only slight disappointment is with the re-vamped tea-room. When we visited at the weekend, tables in the garden were left... More

We visited on a Sunday afternoon, very quiet and met by very helpful staff at reception. We were offered a audio guide of which we accepted, the gardens are extensive and inspiring. The chapel is well worth a visit and then the deer park....We even had a cheeky piece of cake and coffee in the cafe

Thank you for your wonderful comments and I am so glad you had a fun time at Spetchley. We are always trying to think of different things to give our visitors a more three dimensional view of the garden and the audio guide is proving very popular. We have also just started a children and adults trail based on a... More

We were a family group ages ranging from 67 to 6 years old and there was something for everyone! Well worth a visit. Reception staff very helpful and informative and the six year old was given a young explorers bag which included a pair of binoculars, a bug hunting kit plus other goodies and all for a £2 deposit which... By chance we visited Spetchley Park Gardens on 06/05/16. We were in Malvern, primarily, to attend the RHS Spring Show on Thursday. On Friday we went to the Morgan Factory in the morning, had a late brunch at Café in the Green, before going to Spetchley in the afternoon. We used our 2 for 1 Gardeners' World cards, so only... Totally beautiful day in may. What a fabulous garden. It's just the gardens and not the house but on a nice day, it's a great day out. Don't miss the tea rooms. £19.99 for a cream tea for 2. All locally sourced ingredients of a good quality. Entrance is £7 per person.

Thank you very much for reviewing the gardens and in these days of cloud and rain, painting a wonderfully sunny picture for others. All we need is some beautiful sun for a sustained period for many more to come and enjoy the gardens as much as you did. We are lucky that the Deli@Pershore now run the tea room, ensuring... More
