The Roost is a gift shop specializing in Newfoundland handmade crafts. At The Roost our workshops are always open to visitors to watch artisans at work. The 45 minute drive from Corner Brook to York Harbour is one of the most scenic drives you will ever experience. In addition to the beautiful scenery, this area offers hiking, beach combing, shopping, places to eat and places to sleep.

We have stopped in a few times during our visit to Lark Harbour! Beautiful store with only locally made art.

Just out for a drive while visiting NFLD and seen the open sign. Normally they are closed this time of year until May. You can call ahead to set up a time or drop by and see if they are there. The owner was there and was very helpful with information on the area. The store was filled with lots of excellent local and provincial artwork. Definitely a great spot to stop and take home that special gift of your trip.

Aside from the beautifully scenic drive to get to York Harbour from where we stayed in Corner Brook, this is a 'must see' gift shop featuring the work of local artisans. Owners are so friendly and provided us with some great travel advice and points to stop all over Newfoundland. Thanks Blake and Roy for all the fabulous suggestions! We LOVED 'The Roost'! We will make sure to stop the next time we visit Newfoundland.
