Not my first time there and like before a good place to take a break.
If you like good wine then it is much more than a break and it becomes a necessary stop.
You taste it, enjoy it, and then buy it as it would be a pity to miss a good opportunity to buy some good wine at a good price

I first visited Odem Winery with Abraham Tours back in 2014 on a wine-testing adventure. Since that first visit, I started renting a car while visiting Israel and I have been back three times since, always to buy a bottle of their Volcanic Cabernet Sauvignon.

It really is that good.

We wanted to visit a Golan Heights winery. Our tour guide knew the owner and took us here. You can taste 2 wines for free. Any more will cost you a little although if you buy a wine, it's credited towards the purchase. We liked one of the Syrahs and bought 2 bottles for 85 each. Later in the tour, we went to the Olive Oil factory, and saw the exact same wine there for 119, so the price was good

A family affair, this winery draws on excellent terroir and expertise of the vintners. They offer several series of quality wines for about every type of buyer. Tasting is offered too at different levels of wine complexity. It's a labour of love.

My wife and I had the pleasure of travelling to Israel recently with our two adult children. We toured Golan and wanted to include a visit to a winery. After researching a number of wineries, I decided the size, history and reputation of Har Odem would be a good fit for us. I was right. The wine was delicious and the environment warm (familial), casual and sophisticated. We met a nice young lady who was a member of the founding Alfasi family and a delightful young man with a 'handlebar' moustache guided us through a tasting (I wish I could remember their names). The rest of our day was hiking/sightseeing - the visit to Odem was an oasis of relaxation and enjoyment. A special place!

The six of us decided to stop by a winery after our 9 km hike. We were 10 minutes away from Odom so we popped in. We were warmly greeted by a young lady, Talia, who proceeded to not only serve us tasty local wines, but also took the time to explain to us about each one as well as tell us about the area, the history of the vineyards and the wines. We ordered the cheese platter and then each ordered the 3-wine samplers . Talia was gracious, patient and very knowledgeable about how to drink as well as the way to appreciate each red, rose, white and dessert wine.
I highly recommend visiting the winery and experiencing the magic of Har Odem. There is an inn on site as well as other foods available.

When you're traveling on the Golan it is nice to have place to stop by and take 5.
especially if you're after a several hours walk in a Nahal.
This place is the right one for that.
I didn't stop there for the wine but hearing the other customers there left me with the impression the wine is good.
You can buy of course other local products than wine.
Don't hope for cheap prices or bargains but you'll find good quality, tasty local products which are altogether nice souvenirs to take back home with you.
