Very nice museum. Alot of history about the city and the Indians of the area. Very interesting. This is the only thing to see in Dodge City. Many store fronts are closed up and all that is left are wind turbines and the train station. There is a lot of dust flying around.

We were looking forward to seeing this part of town and the reviews in Trip Advisor indicated that it was opened until 8 Pm. It closes at 4:30 - at least during the time we were there. Disappointed to have missed it and the other shops in the area.

We toured in March, it was still winter hours, and I got the impression more things go on during the summer. This was a neat museum of Dodge City's history. There was a mockup of a western street, and most of the museum was in the mockup. You walked through on the inside. In addition to the exhibits, inside the... More

Fun little store front to shop and then a nice short walking tour/museum. Our boys & nephews (4, 12, 13, & 15 years) all had a great time checking out the different exhibits and shopping at the "old time" stores.

I visited this site in March, and there were several pieces of it closed. It seems it has much more excitement in summer months: shows, etc. It was rather dead. I was a little disappointed after hearing so much hype about Boot Hill. The cemetery is tiny. It is an interesting museum, but I was hoping for actors or something... More

I grew up watching "Gunsmoke," so thought I'd really like to see Dodge City My husband and I visited the Boot Hill Museum today. Unfortunately, it is very cold out--a true winter's day, but we were inside for most of the time. It is off-season, so not everything is open and operating. Yet, there was plenty to see and learn.... As a Ford County resident, we are able to visit as often as we would like. AND we do. We Always see something we missed! Educational and historical. Experience the feel of a Buffalo Stampede, see authentic memorabilia and drink a Sasaparilla in the Saloon. Family fun but plan on a half day visit. Dodge City has so much more... More

First time in Dodge City. Spent several hours in the museum as there is so much to see. We learnt a lot about not only Dodge City, but also the demise of the millions of Buffalo, the way of life of the Indians. The ticket is good for two days so we went back the following morning as we hadn't... More

Certainly educates about the history of the town. I visited at a quiet time but I think that there is much more going on in busier seasons. Glad that I went though.
