We visited on July 4, and the young woman working there gave us lots of great information. The museum is very open, and you can touch many items even though they're very old.

This is an easy stop with kids that have learned the history already or younger children who just pass by and look. It takes less than an hour to walk through.

My Father was a Captain in the Army and we lived in the left half of the mansion. Trust me when I say this mansion is haunted!

Step back 150 years into limestone home on the prairie. The house is restored to the period and the tour guides provide interesting history.
