Went there after going to Cheyenne Bottoms. Love the gift shop, the ability to see some of the live birds and animals up close and the bird viewing area. They also have great information on the wetlands. Is a great place to take kids to learn the importance of the wetlands.

Excellent place to visit. Good history, nice displays, and even have local animals on display, live. I had heard of several of the animals, but had never seen them. Well worth the visit, lots of free stuff, and movie. Not all wussy eco junk, just good stuff

This is a great place to spend an afternoon. After spending time in the air conditioned center, we ate our picnic lunch in the pavilion. The staff is friendly, the displays educational and the live animals cool!

If you have never been there before it's a must to visit the Wetlands Education Center. You will find out about the wildlife and will be able to experience the Cheyenne Bottoms which is one of the wetlands that is still in existence due to some years of drought in Kansas and in some of the other states.

Attended the Boyd Norton seminar co-hosted by the Center and the Central Kansas Photo Club. The seminar was excellent. This facility is very nice with live animals, a butterfly garden and a walking trail as well. Well worth your time to stop here!
