Well worth the trip, my wife and I love old Architecture, Old West Lawrence did not let us down. We don't drive through Lawrence very often, but If we do get back that way, we will definitely stop by again.

Great houses and places to see - just makes you realize what the town is like. Comfortable and homey. Easy to see things.

There's a lot of neat older homes in the area that have been kept up well. If you like beautiful architecture, this is a place to come. Love the old cobbles streets in the area too. You need to watch out for the sidewalks though....More

A very nice older neighborhood. Showcasing some wonderful architecture and homes. The neighborhood may be changing it seems but it still looks fairly nice. And most of the homes are well kept. Worth a look if you are driving around Lawrence

This area of Lawrence is full of college students, parties, and there's nothing at all to do. Many of the houses are decrepit from being rentals and should be torn down.

I love walking my dogs in the area. Plenty to see while the dogs get exercise! There is a lot of traffic on Tennessee, but usually cars are respectful if you need to cross.

The history jumps out at you. It is best to pick up a pamphlet at the Lawrence visitor's centre and take one of the suggested walking tours. Wear shoes that are good on cobblestones and brick streets.

Old West Lawrence one of the first neighborhoods in Lawrence, settled soon after the city was founded in the 1860s. It has a large number and variety of beautiful homes. It is best appreciated on an architectural or home tour. The area also includes some...More
