The quilt exhibit we enjoyed there was themed around the struggles of black Americans to be a part of society. It was very thought-provoking and there were some very well designed quilts.

This is the KU museum, but it seems much bigger and better than other university museums. This has fantastic art year round, with new and exciting exhibits often.

The museum was featuring an African American historical display of story quilts that is amazing, informative, and beautiful! Take the time to visit this special exhibit!

This small museum of art is a rare treasure in the heart of mid-America. There were a couple of areas closed, prepping for the coming exhibit, so we only viewed the permanent collection. I was shocked to find works by, Thomas Cole, Albert Bierstadt, Thomas...More

The Spencer Museum of Art is a nice place for a visit while in Lawrence. It is just down the hill from the main KU campus and offers a nice selection of art on display.
