Great little visitor center with educational exhibits. If you enjoy bird watch there's a cute little room where windows overlook a water feature with feeders. My favorite part is the trails outside. Worth a visit for all ages.

We went on a family hike and had a great time! The nature center had some interactive exhibits for the kids to enjoy, but the trails were the best part. Some trails went through fields and others were beautiful explorations around the creek and up...More

Ok walking trail, but dogs are not allowed. Since when we walk we always take our dog we won't be back.

I visited here just as Autumn was beginning. There are many nature trails. Some has asphalt, others are dirt or mulch. With a new knee, I have to stay on the paved roads. There was one particular path where the trees almost created a fairy...More

I brought my 10 year old grandson to Ernie Miller Park. When we stopped at the welcome building, we picked up a scavenger hunt form-there were two different ones for a family and for older kids. It had about 25-30 items to find on the...More

Excellent place to take a much needed hike, although inside city limits you can hike a long way and not see anything related to a city scape. peaceful and a joy to visit.

Great Question! I know that the park was the first for Olathe. I had to really dig to locate some information. To follow is what I found on Olathe's 150 Most Notable People..."Ernest "Ernie” Miller wrote a newspaper column... More
