The arboretum is centered around a big pond, with woods and open paths surrounding it. It's the perfect place to get outside and relax. Dogs are allowed but not on the main concrete walkways. Also they have some free admission days so check the website!

Spend a wonderful fall day with fiends walking through arboretum. Fall foliage was Starting to show itself. Peaceful experience.

The arboretum is always beautiful. The walking trails are well-maintained, the trees and flowers are gorgeous, and there is so much to look at. I met a friend to walk a few miles last week on "free Tuesday" and we really enjoyed it.

We love stopping by here whenever we visit Overland Park. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous and the trails are so nice to stroll around. The entrance fee is cheap and we've never been disappointed.

Frankly, even though the price of admission is fairly low, the flower garden is on the small side and probably not worth it. Lots of trails for hiking, I'd just go elsewhere to satisfy your botanical interests.

The flowers and trees were lovely and they were identified well. Loved the pond with the enormous koi! We surprised a heron and enjoyed watching the turtles sun themselves. We also loved the statues and a tiny tree frog 🐸 surprised us🤗

I lived about 20 minutes from the Arboretum for 6 years and never bothered to go. When I finally did, I regretted I didn't check it out sooner. The manicured paths around the pond are beautiful, but the real treasure is the miles of hiking...More

Yes it's as you come in, in the back of the nature center. I've never eaten there yet they do sell veggies and flowers to plant in your yard and the prices are extremely cheap compared to the garden stores.

You can find the Overland Park Arboretum on Facebook. I believe you can also do a web search for them and get the info there. I get emails from them a lot, but don't remember getting one so far about wine tasting. Maybe a... More
