Playa Quirilluca und Playa Luna sind im Sommer nicht ganz so überlaufen wie die von Santiaginern am Wochenende massenhaft bezogenen oder auch von Argentiniern bevorzugten Ferienziele etwas weiter südlich (z.B. bei Viña del Mar oder San Antonio). Vor allem erstgenannte Strandbucht verzeichnet daher noch so manche natürliche Eigenheiten, die man bei einem Strandbummel entdecken kann, ohne durch allzu viel Touristen-Getöse abgelenkt zu werden. Das betrifft vor allem eine reichhaltige Seevogel-Welt, unter der die Pelikane noch die normalsten Vertreter sind, auch wenn man deren Formationsflüge besonders gerne verfolgen mag. Hinzu kommt eine recht eigentümliche Felsformation am nördlichen Rand von Playa Quirilluca, in der senkrecht stehende Gesteinsrippen von der Brandung markant heraus präpariert sind. In den dazwischen liegenden Gerinnen lässt sich allerlei kleines Meeresgetier verfolgen. Und wer sich an Cochayuyo, den riesigen Kelp-Algen satt sehen möchte, der ist hier ebenfalls gut aufgehoben, denn der ist stellenweise auf den Strand gespült und liefert ebenfalls so manchem Kleingetier Nahrung. Das alles mag für santiaginer und argentinische Strandliebhaber von geringem Interesse sein – aber als Europäer findet man die Vogelwelt und Meeresfauna dann womöglich doch ziemlich exotisch, so dass ein Besuch insbesondere von Playa Quirilluca dann ein Erlebnis in bleibender Erinnerung werden kann.

Para el día de los enamorados con mi novio fuimos a la costa Esmeralda ya que no la conocíamos. Luego de almorzar, caminamos por la costa para después tomar un poco de sol e ingresar al mar. Me encanto el lugar e iría de nuevo!

La costa esmeralda es una maravilla tranquilo, buena vista, ideal para descansar o caminar porque con al brisa marina uno se refresca

Visitar este lugar, fuera de temporada, resulta realmente un agrado. Hay una amplia variedad de restaurantes funcionando, con una muy buena atención y excelente calidad de ofertas. Tiene lindas playas, limpias y un pueblo organizado, y rústico al mismo tiempo. Vale la pena visitarlo y quedarse un par de días ahí.

Si lo que quieres es disfrutar del mar en su estado mas calmo y tener buena conectividad para recorrer , Maitencillo es el lugar .
Incluso en verano con un gran numero de turistas te resultara relajante recorrer sus playas .

Maravilhosas praias ao norte de Viña del Mar, ainda não dominadas pelos turistas, principalmente brasileiros.
Não deixe de passear por Maintencillo, Cachagua - de onde se chega por um caminho até Las Cujas, praia de águas transparentes -, Zapallar e Papudo, muito típica e tradicional balneário chileno, com seu calçadão repleto de atrações para crianças e bons restaurantes.
