We visited the Falls during the day and at night. What a different experience both times. The trails and facilities are better than usual and the Cumberland Falls are a sight to behold.

Great place to visit. Nice gift shop and snack bar. Good little extra things for small kids to do also.

I think this was a case of "overpromise, underdeliver" for me. We'd been told of the beauty of the falls, it being the "Niagara of the south", etc. so my expectations were maybe too high. The drive from I-75 was pretty, would be really nice...More

The Cumberland Falls were a wonderful stop during our full day of traveling. We decided to get off I-75 and enjoy the back roads. This park is about 17-20 minutes off the interstate--but well worth it. Easy walking path with some steps to go down...More

We visited the lodge in August 2017 with a moldy bathroom, mildew scented room, paint falling off the ceiling, and a door lock latch ripped off the door. When staff came down to bring missing toiletries, their answer to a door that doesn't close automatically...More

Yes, the falls are within the park itself. Short walking distance to view the galls.

Well your roughing it to begin with, I don't think it would deter your experience either way. It is a beautiful spot but I do not know about the upkeep of the campground.
