The museum itself has changed over the years, its still very interesting but not as many exhibits since moving the major armor exhibits to Ft. Benning. All in all though it is an exemplary display regarding Gen. Patton . One note, you must stop and...More

Very impressive museum and can't beat the price. It's free. You do however need to enter Ft Knox military base and for that you must have a valid ID. Also take the time to enjoy the memorial park next to museum. Overall a great place....More

The museum does a good job of delineating through examples the leadership and personal characteristics of General George Patton, as well as displaying military artifacts from vehicles to pistols. Explanations are good and photos are permitted. Free to park and enter. That said, one must...More

Well kept museum, friendly staff, and enough exhibits to occupy the better part of a day if you read everything. It is fairly large and is full of items. From tanks to the famous revolvers. Plan for enough time to go through the visitors center...More

This was a great museum for those who enjoy military history. They had some great exhibits that included General Patton's pistols, gloves and other items. We took our children and this was not something that they were particularly interested in, but we knew that heading...More

To get to the museum (I think) you need to enter through the Visitor's Center - This wasn't like the Visitor Centers that I'd ever been too. You take a number - when your number is called, everyone over 18 needs to show ID (for...More

I have visited several times in the past but this is first time since the Armor Museum portion moved with the Armor School. The collection of armored vehicles and armor-connected artifacts moved from Fort Knox to Fort Benning, Ga., along with the Armor School. Remaining...More

This is one of the best military base museums in existence. The staff and people associated with the museum are to be commended on the quality of the presentations. This is a must stop destination.

A great tribute to, not only General Patton, but to the US Military. Lots of Patton artifacts but also there are lots of exhibits about the Gulf Wars. Make sure to check in at the visitors center to get your pass onto the base. Fairly...More

I've never seen an open tank there but there's been quite a lot of work there in the last year or so. There is still a lot to look at and plenty of static displays to see.

No T-29 at the Patton Museum now, or anywhere at Fort Knox. The two examples at Fort Knox (I believe there were two, not sure) were sent to Fort Benning, where they are in storage.
