This was a very interesting place to visit. We learned a lot about the "shakers" and their history. Many buildings were open for an inside look and docents were on hand to answer questions. Be sure to get their insights which will add much more...More

Checked in after dark in July. We went to registration and were given our keys and a crude map for the location of our room. We were somewhat familiar with the grounds but had to hunt a flashlight to find our way to our room...More

We visited Shakertown, as it's locally known, for an Arts & Crafts Fair. Really good quality, hand-made items. Admission included the entire property, and we enjoyed learning about the Shakers' worship habits in the meeting room, where a young man with an excellent voice told...More

We stayed at the Beaumont Inn in Harrodsburg. There are stairs but also an elevator. About 10/15 minutes away.
