The Trail of Tears Annual Pow Wow is always exciting and a great event. Lots of local vendors, food, and great historical activities and exhibitions. What a great family destination right in the heart of town!!!

Building & grave site locked even though web site says it's open on Wednesday. Commemorative plaques provide profound insights so not a wasted trip. But a 15 minute stop was much less than I expected.

I have attended this powwow for 14 years now. It is a great way to learn more about native culture. Good for Boy and Girl Scout Troops and kids in general.

This is a historical Cherokee site - a stop on the Trail of Tears march in the 1800's. It consists of a small museum with an awesome volunteer guide, who really knows her stuff! Doing this work is a labor of love for this woman....More

I am no longer sure of that. It was operated by volunteers for the longest time. The website shows TUE-SAT 10-4 on those dates.
