Nice trail - like mini forest in the middle of hassle bustle Markham/Unionville area. It's good for a short walk with dogs and kids. I like to run and this trail is too small for me. But I will definitely come back here for a quick walk

Nice little pond about 1km walk around so if you do your jogging here may be you need to run around a few times. Relaxing and colourful in the fall. Guess it must in a silvery natural winter wonderland soon.
Easy access to the historic town of Unionville within one minute of driving but need to find a parking spot in weekends. Interesting to walks around the Main Street there and enjoy the unique restaurants.
Wish the on-site cafe would be opened longer hours

Main Street in Unionville is already a terrific place to wander & get snacks but Toogood Pond is ideal for a walk with the family.
The entire circumference of the pond has a well maintained trail and you are bound to see some ducks, unique birds and other wildlife.
Our toddler had fun chasing after doggos that were on a walk with their owners.
There is a small shop at the pond which has ice cream & other small items.
If I ever have some deep personal reflection/thinking to do, this is where I will come for sure!

Beautiful oasis in the middle of city. You may be surprised to see some inhabitants in the area such as the great blue Heron. Also a pleasant surprise to see a meadow for the first time.A pleasant walk can be done leisurely in under an hour.Close to food services in nearby Main St., Unionville should you become hungry and thirsty after the long walk.

If you want a longer walk you can join the footpath the other side of Main Street and walk many km. to Markham

Toogood Ponds is beautiful, with lovely plant life and wildlife (mostly geese) in the area. The pond itself is beautiful, and no matter where you go, as long as you are in the pond area you should be able to see the actual pond. They also offer skating in the winter, which is pretty fun. One of my favorite outdoor attractions in Markham.

Great pond to walk around for exercise and cap off the experience with an ice cream, coffee, dinner or lunch on Main Street, Unionville.

It will be frozen over for most of our Canadian winter. You can walk on a lake.
You can skate on the lake.
But you need to wrap up really warm

I would like to know whether picnic tables will be available on the north side of the pond this year. My mother is 90, loved to picnic there, but the tables were gone today. They were perfect, since they were close to the parking lot and reached by an easy sloped walk.

Will you have Picnic benches OR benches to sit on while we Picnic, some of my friends are coming in from out of town. Love this Park. Carol L

My mother lives in a nearby nursing home and we have enjoyed many picnic lunches on the north side of the Pond.
We went back today (such a gorgeous day for a picnic) and all of the tables are gone.
Will there be new tables available? The ones on the north side were perfect because the walk from the parking lot was short and very gently sloped.
