We always enjoy visiting this location, although I believe it is currently under renovations. They show different era's of Oldham county's history. Along with special displays related to our community. They have special events from time to time to showcase historical times. So check the calendar ~

If you want to learn about Oldham County you should visit the History Center sometime. If you have been there, you should go again. It is a wonderful place to see the past history of Oldham County and especially the La grange area. They have many amazing artifacts and antiques that will bring back memories even if you are not... Exciting to step back in time and enjoy from whence we came here in LaGrange, KY. Forgetting our roots is not an option at the Oldham County History Center.

If you've not ventured to LaGrange, you're missing a trip back in time. Great little railroad town with main street shops and restaurants. Only a couple of blocks, but worth the short hop from Louisville. The Historical Center features varied artifacts from LaGrange's and Oldham County's past. Extremely interesting, especially for those interested in equestrian and agricultural history.

The staff were very friendly and helpful with the family history records that my husband and son needed. They were equally helpful with our visit for my self and my small grandson, to the museum itself. It's a great collection of local history, with artifacts, explanations, posters, and some audio as well. It's a small town treasure!

Housed in a restored Victorian mansion, the museum is bursting with artifacts and information related... More
