This lovely nature center has well trodden trails and very pretty foliage. Helpful informative signs tell hikers what to look for and provide great educational information on plants, insects and environment. While I didn't go inside, there is a lovely, large nature center, chock full...More

So glad to have discovered this natural oasis within in the city. Even on a beautiful fall day, we didn't feel we were sharing with too many people. Well-marked trails, nice visitors' center, plenty of parking. Delightful.

Perfect 4 mile trail that includes everything...streams, small waterfalls, abandoned mills and beautiful greenery.

Make sure you are wearing runners and have water for this hike, especially if you follow the red trail. It has a great lookout point and its so great to walk through the trees and small cliffs.

My family and I attended one of the nature walks at night. It was tons of fun and interesting. Great outdoor activity for the little ones.

I've been to Raven Run twice and each time have had such a fun time each visit. Only thing I'd say is on the map they rate the trails easy to hard and I don't think the ratings accurately reflect the level of difficultly.

I'm sorry Linda. I was just visiting the area from North Carolina. I do not know the area well enough to give you suggestions on where to go. Hope you find what you are looking for!

This location is outside the city of Lexington Kentucky, the second largest city in the Commonwealth. There are plenty of places to eat but you will have to drive about 5 miles.

They do not. It's a preserve so they won't allow pets. We take our dogs to the Gorge.
