We had a superb visit. Even though it was rainy, it was just a really pleasurable experience. Our tour guide was professional and well spoken. The facility is pristine and it's a fascinating process to learn about. We hand-dipped a bottle of bourbon and which was a little touristy but still super fun. I'm not a huge bourbon fan, but... A few friends and I went to Maker's Mark as part of a tour and I think this was our longest stretch at a distillery. The tour went on for a touch too long in my opinion but it was interesting. They are extremely proud of their product and it shows all the way through their presentation. I doubt I... More

The grounds are beautiful! The tour is comprehensive and gives you a really good feel for the process from beginning to end. From tasting the mash to watching the bottling you will see it all. Even the hand dipping of each bottle in the iconic red wax. The great thing is when its all over you go to the gift... More

What a GREAT day! While visiting family in Lexington, we decided to take the hop (about an hour outside of Lexington) to the Makers Mark Distillery. The funny thing is I am not a large fan of Kentucky Bourbon, but I will admit the tour at Makers Mark really was a great day out. The drive to the distillery is... More

We went out to the middle of nowhere to do a tasting and dip our own bottles of Maker's. You can't pay for just a tasting because the manager wants you to take away the story behind the bourbon and not just a tasting. Fine if you have the time but we just wanted to buy a few bottles to... More

This is a beautiful distillery. Be prepared to walk quite a bit, simply to visit the gift shop or to taste. It is a distance. Scenery is beautiful. Part of the drive here is on a one lane road which I found to be neat but signage to let you know you were on the correct path would be nice.... More

I'll be brief. We paid for the tour on Jan 21st 2017 - a Saturday. It was my bad, that I assumed production and bottling would be in progress. I called the tour manager and was told they don't work on weekends. In the wine country of California, all most ALL wineries have production tours on Saturdays., and i was... More

We spent a weekend in and around the Louisville Trail as part of the first leg of the Bourbon Trail. We decided to head an hour out of town to Loretto, KY to visit Maker's Mark. The tour costs $12 per person and is well worth the price. Starting at the newly built visitors center on the top of a... More

This was an amazing tour! I don't know how much it cost though because we did it through a tour company. Beautiful area. Very educational. You get to see a lot. It made me want to try more Maker's Mark. We got to taste 5 different items. The gift shop was great. You get to dip your own bottles in... More

Great Tour and you even get you dip your bottle in the wax. Love the grounds and make sure you have a couple hours.
